A master-barber shop in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Walk in sharp, leave sharper. Tuesday to Saturday, by appointment or by chance.
Same prices Tuesday to Saturday. No card-only nonsense — cash, Apple Pay or contactless. Walk-ins after 11am if a chair's free.
Mark Hennessy opened Fade & Blade in 2013 after eight years cutting at a Soho institution. The brief was simple: a proper barbershop. Sharp cuts, honest prices, time for a proper chat. No "experience packages." No upsells. Just a chair, a mirror, and someone who knows what they're doing.
Today there are two chairs, two master barbers, and a small waiting bench. We cut around 2,400 heads a year. We don't take walk-ins after 5pm — but we'll always make time for someone who's run out of options before a wedding.
Real cuts. Real beards. Real Manchester light. Tagged @fadeandblade on Instagram if you're after more.

We don't ask for reviews. They turn up anyway. Here's three from this month.
"Best cut I've had in years. Mark really knows what he's doing — sharp fade, sharper conversation. Booking system is dead easy too."
"Booked the Full Service before a wedding. Hot towel, head massage, the lot. Came out feeling like a different man. £48 well spent."
"Brought my dad in for the Father & Son. Two chairs side by side, proper banter, mint cuts. We'll be back every month."
Book online and we'll send a reminder the night before. Or just turn up — we'll always squeeze you in if there's a chair.
